The Event
Swim 1.1 miles, bike 55.9 miles and run 13.1 miles along the Danube River. The Championship is a middle-distance triathlon, the biggest in Slovakia, and will take place on 19 May 2024. The charming village of Samorin has 800 years worth of history and a rich tradition of sport. The venue for this event takes place at the remarkable multipurpose complex, x-bionic® sphere.

Race Entry, Travel and Accommodation
Guests arrive into Vienna International Airport on Wednesday 15th or Thursday 16th May to meet our transfers, where we will transport you and your bike to our hotels in Old Town Bratislava and x-bionic® sphere, Samorin by private coach transfer. Those arriving on Wednesday 15th May have the option to spend a night in Vienna on the 15th May at a central hotel, and transfer by boat along the Danube the following morning to Bratislava for a more scenic experience.

Located nearby to the charming Bratislava Old Town, this 4-star hotel is beautifully designed with excellent on-site facilities and comfortable rooms, providing a great base for race week. Within proximity to plenty of café, shops, restaurants and attractions such Michael’s Gate and the Danube River, which leads directly to x-bionic® sphere in Samorin. You can combine sightseeing, culture and training to get the best out of your Championship experience.
Complementary breakfast is included in your stay. There is a restaurant serving tapas and cocktails on-site if you wish to dine in and a 24-hours fitness center with a terrace boasting views of the Old town.
Standard rooms come with modern conveniences including a mini-bar, Nespresso coffee machines and tea and coffee making facilities, a TV and AC. There is bike storage available throughout your stay.
Event Location
The Championship 2024 takes place in Samorin at the x-bionic® sphere, situated 25 minutes from Slovakia’s capital Bratislava. Though Bratislava does have an international airport, regular flights to Vienna are available, where we will run transfers in and out from. The journey between Vienna International Airport and our hotel in Bratislava is a approximately 40 minutes.
Getting There
Though Bratislava does have an international airport, we recommend tour guests fly into Vienna, where there are regular flights from major hubs worldwide, where we will run private transfers in and out from including bike transportation. The journey between Vienna International Airport and our hotel in Bratislava is approximately 40 minutes.
Should you wish to spend a night in Vienna on the Wednesday 15th May we can arrange hotel accommodation, along with a boat transfer for you and your bike on the 16th May along the Danube River. Please enquire with our team, should you wish to receive more information around this option.
