We are delighted to provide athletes with the opportunity to feel the support of a Tri Travel Tour at The Championship in Samorin 2026. As an official travel partner to the Challenge Family we have created a tour package designed to enable peak performance. The Event
Swim 1.1 miles, bike 55.9 miles and run 13.1 miles along the Danube River. The Championship is a middle-distance triathlon, the biggest in Slovakia, and will take place on 24 May 2026. The charming village of Samorin has 800 years worth of history and a rich tradition of sport. The venue for this event takes place at the remarkable multipurpose complex, x-bionic® sphere.

Race Entry, Travel and Accommodation
Guests are encouraged to arrive into Vienna International Airport (VIE) on Wednesday 20th May if you are on the 5 night package or Thursday 21st May if you are on the 4-night package. Scheduled transfers will transport you and your bike to our hotels by private coach transfer. The drive will take approximately 45 minutes.

X-Bionic Hotel (Half Board Basis)
4-night package – 21th May – 25th May 2026 / 5-night package – 20th May – 25th May 2026
The host venue for the Championship in Samorin is the X-Bionic Sphere, one of the best sports training facilities in Eastern Europe, and has a hotel on site, a perfect place to stay for your race week. The rooms at X-Bionic are housed in 5 blocks and the 282 rooms. The spacious rooms have excellent amenities including air-conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi and offer rooms with up to 4 people sharing. Their Olym-Pick restaurant onsite is geared towards high-performing athletes in training, so they are able to provide low-carb, high-carb, high-protein, low-fat, vegetarian, gluten-free or high-fibre meals depending on your training and nutritional needs. Breakfast is included in your stay, and we also offer the option to add lunch and dinner to your board basis for an additional fee.
You have unlimited access to their sports facilities including a full 8-lane running track and stadium as well as a warm-up 4-lane track and a fully-equipped professional gym, a 50m Olympic outdoor pool (open in the summer), a 25m indoor pool as well as recreational pools. There is even a solarium, a cryosauna and a full-service wellness area with a choice of saunas, three whirlpools, a cooling pool, a tepidarium, salt cave, a herbal steam room, these wellness options may require you to pay an additional fee on-site.
Event Location
The Championship 2026 takes place in Samorin at the x-bionic® sphere, situated 25 minutes from Slovakia’s capital Bratislava. Though Bratislava does have an international airport, regular flights to Vienna are available, where we will run transfers in and out from. The journey between Vienna International Airport and our hotel in Bratislava is a approximately 45 minutes.
Getting There
Though Bratislava does have an international airport, we recommend tour guests fly into Vienna, where there are regular flights from major hubs worldwide, where we will run scheduled transfers in and out from including bike transportation. The journey between Vienna International Airport and Samorin is approximately one hour.
Should you wish to spend extra nights in Vienna post race, we can arrange hotel accommodation. Please enquire with our team, who can provide you with more information around this option. Likewise if you would prefer to arrive into Bratislava airport, we can arrange private taxi options for an additional fee.
Location Highlights
Western Slovakia is full of charm and history, close to the Hungarian border, in the centre of Europe. Samorin is located south-east of Bratislava and is know for the exceptional multi-sport complex x-bionic® sphere, a sports and leisure resort with ideal conditions for professional and amateur sports and where activities are plentiful. Bratislava is a small and walkable city with a rich history, excellent food and wine culture, beautiful architecture and walking/cycle networks besides the Danube.

Enjoy unlimited access to the venue’s top-tier facilities, including swimming pools, athletic track, and gym. - Guided Bike Ride to Bratislava:
Ride along the scenic Danube River to Slovakia’s capital. We’ll stop for an included lunch in the city centre and explore highlights like Bratislava Castle. - Arrivals for 4-Night Package:

Join us at Legends Bar for a welcome drink. Meet your fellow athletes, tour leaders, and a special guest from Challenge Family.

Dive into the Danube canal for a relaxed group swim session. - Morning – Expo Visit:
After breakfast, we’ll head to the expo. As part of the Tri Travel group, enjoy an exclusive 10% discount on official merchandise. - Afternoon – Bike Course Familiarisation:
Join a group ride to preview the race course. - 5:00 PM – First-Timers Venue Walkthrough:
A guided tour hosted by the organisers to help you feel race-ready.
Saturday 23 May – Shakeout & Short Course Races

A light, social run to loosen the legs before race day. - Race Day for TRYATHLON, SPRINT & STANDARD (OLYMPIC):
