Set beachfront by the Ionian Sea in Navarino Bay, our Costa Navarino resort, the new Escape, tailored for adults and young adults 12+ years old, opened in summer 2022. It infuses the Costa Navarino experience with inspiring energy and a fresh perspective and is also linked to the waterfront Navarino Agora marketplace. For the event dates 23–26 October, children of all ages are
welcome. W Costa Navarino will operate until 26 October, after which the resort will close for the season. For post-event stays in the region, we can arrange alternative hotel accommodation upon request.
LOCATION
IRONMAN 70.3 Greece takes place at Costa Navarino in the region of Messinia, located in the southwest Peloponnese. The venue is set along the Ionian coastline, offering a premium race environment with direct access to beaches, resort facilities, and surrounding natural landscapes. The closest airport is Kalamata International Airport, which is approximately 45–60 minutes from the race venue. Athens International Airport is also commonly used for international arrivals, with onward transfers available.
Getting There
We recommend guests fly into Kalamata International Airport where possible, as it is the closest airport to Costa Navarino. However, many international travellers will arrive via Athens International Airport, which offers a wider range of global connections. Private transfers can be arranged for an additional fee and upon request from both airports, including bike transportation, directly to the hotel and race venue.
The journey time from Kalamata International Airport to Costa Navarino is approximately 45–60 minutes. From Athens International Airport, the journey is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours by road.
Should you wish to extend your stay before or after the event, additional nights can be arranged at Costa Navarino or in Athens. Our team can assist with hotel arrangements and tailored itineraries based on your travel plans.
Private transfers from alternative arrival points can also be arranged upon request for an
