The Event
The 2026 Europe Triathlon Multisport Championships will take place in Banyoles, Spain, on 11 – 19 July 2026, transforming the city into a hub for elite endurance sport. Centred around the scenic Lake Banyoles, the event will feature a dynamic program including Elite, Age-Group, Para, Junior and U/23 competitions in Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon.

Getting There
Plane: Girona – Costa Brava Airport
Scheduled flights from different parts of Europe and Spain land at this airport. Located 34 km from Banyoles, there are buses from the airport to Girona railway station, where you can catch the bus to Banyoles.
Train
There is no train service to Banyoles. The closest towns where there is a train station are Girona and Figueres. These in turn are connected with Banyoles by a regular bus line. In Girona, the buses to Banyoles leave from just outside the train station.
Bus
The company TEISA offers a bus service that connects the town with Girona, Olot, Figueres and Barcelona. It also operates the urban transport routes that connect different districts and parts of the town of Banyoles, and also a cross-country bus that connects different municipalities in the region of the Pla de l’Estany.
