The Event
The Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee Middle Distance triathlon will take place on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024. The course course showcases the breathtaking beauty of the Austrian Tyrol. The 1.9km swim in the crystal-clear waters of Walchsee is a serene yet invigorating start to the race. With its remarkable clarity, swimmers are treated to a refreshing experience, and the one-lap course ensures a straightforward navigation.
The 90km bike course takes participants on a scenic journey through the picturesque region of Kaiserwinkl, offering unparalleled views of the majestic mountains. The two-loop course, each 45km in length, presents athletes with a total of 1,100 meters of altitude difference, promising both challenges and rewards as they conquer the terrain.
Athletes transition to the 21km run course, which offers a change of pace with its flatter terrain. Despite a few hills to keep things interesting, runners are treated to a stunning backdrop as they loop around the lake along the charming promenade. Passing by farmhouses adorned with colorful window boxes and through alpine meadows, participants are treated to views of the Kaiser Massif and Lake Walchsee to help with a final push through to the finish line.
