The Event
Challenge Sir Bani Yas is a Triathlon held on the stunning Sir Bani Yas Island. The challenging course includes swimming in the clear Arabian Gulf waters, cycling through the island’s rugged landscapes, and running amidst its diverse wildlife. Athletes can choose between the Olympic, Middle and Long distances.
To access this unique race experience Challenge Sir Bani Yas have created an exciting all-inclusive 4-night, 3-day cruise ship. From the moment you board the ship in Abu Dhabi, everything is taken care of, allowing you to focus on the excitement ahead. 2025 will be the first edition of the Challenge Sir Bani Yas triathlon taking place on Saturday 5th April.

Pre and post nights in Abu Dhabi

Our recommended pre-night hotel in Abu Dhabi is the Aloft Abu Dhabi, which is located close to the part where you will board the ship and near to the Zayed Sports City, if you wish to access good training facilities prior to boarding the cruise ship to acclimatise to local conditions.

It shelters over 17,000 free-roaming animals, including Arabian oryx, gazelles, giraffes, hyenas, and cheetahs, as well as millions of trees and plants—a true natural paradise.
Getting There
We recommend flying into Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) also known as Zayed International Airport. This busy hub is served by over 30 airlines, connecting the UAE’s capital to numerous destinations worldwide including Etihad Airways who are the national carrier of the UAE.
