The Event
Guarantee your place on the start line of the biggest marathon in the world with us! Over 50,000 runners finish the marathon each year, which takes athletes through the the diverse neighbourhoods of New York City’s five boroughs—Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan.
The Tour
Entries to the TCS New York City Marathon sell out in minutes, but as an Official International Travel Operator, Tri Travel can guarantee your entry to the most famous of the World Marathon Majors. With our boutique services, athletes receive specialised and personal support from experienced tour leaders who care about every aspect of the race, the event and the travel.
We provide all the added extras during race week preparations, ensuring our athletes are not only ready to race, but they’ve also experienced the best of New York and the race week activities.
We offer a 3-night package staying at The Lucerne Hotel, which is a short walk from the finish area, however we can extend your stay and offer extra nights in mid-town earlier in the week for that true New York experience.

Event Location
The staging area is at Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island, New York City. Only registered entrants and guides are allowed in Fort Wadsworth and the start area.
Getting There
On event morning, our team will transport you via private shuttles to the ITO ferry which will take you to the race start.

Weather
The weather in New York City in November is very cool, with an average temperature of 13 degrees. We advise our tour members to pack warm clothes, and also to take this into consideration when choosing your racing gear.
Visa
Australian visitors to the United States, for business or tourism, staying 90 days or less, do not need to obtain a visa. However an online travel authorisation needs to be obtained through ESTA, which is a quick, free internet application with authorisation received within a few minutes.
